Outsourced SEO Contract Failure
Here's a post about of some of the key responsibilities you may still need to face in-house, even though you may have employed an external SEO firm to promote your online brand.

Many SEO's and firms that I have spoken with have shared similar stories with me in that they have strategically presented end to end solutions optimize a customer's sites however in the end the customer was slow to fulfill their part of the process, missed vital cut off dates and failed to institute lots of the recommendations of an otherwise sound online marketing strategy.
When customers don't see the rankings they wanted, they turn it round as a failure on the SEO company for not providing a winning SEO strategy or implementation.
Everyone loses.
This is a fundamental issue I have with so many SEO's SEO Companies and client companies themselves. So quick to pitch, pay and see rankings.
Seriously! SEO is not an out the box buy and sell concept. Granted there are services which are well worth paying an external agency to perform however if you are looking to SEO align your enterprise you need to follow the steps, checks and guidelines and get everyone in your business on board.
No external SEO company knows your business better than you. No external SEO company is as motivated to get things right as you are.
Even as a company CEO one still needs to stay abreast of the new changes in search marketing don't get sold down the river or make bad decisions that could undermine the effectiveness of the SEO process.
The primary thing to understand is that even with an exterior SEO company you still have some quantity of work to do and even more so if you own multiple key sites.
- Read Search Engine News
- Make SEO part of somebody's job outline so they can be responsible for it.
- Make sure you don't overcook it or hire an SEO with a "magic secret ranking strategy". Always play open cards.
- Know who is selling and what you are buying.
