Making Money Online

Million Dollar Ideas

Is it possible for a single post, on a brand new domain, in under a day, to make a million dollars in AdSense revenue?

There are a few fundamental questions around the topic of doing it in one day.

  • Has anyone ever done this?
  • Would Google allow it?
  • Could it be done with legitimate clicks?
  • Would Google actually pay out a new publisher if they managed to do this legitimately?

One would think that in theory it is possible.

However.

Given that the theory is possible, how is it that I have never seen some smart ass dude with a Million Dollar Ad rev check. Or is it just because they are no smart dude's out there? Ha, or are they just not telling?

At a Google sales pitch conference the other day, I heard bout a publisher that was making one golden Google bar a month with his/her damn blogger account.

Ok so this blogger had an established SEO friendly niche blog about guitar playing - with a large, long-standing, repeat visit music orientated fan base (that were perfectly aligned to the contextual ad's being served blah, blah, blaadi, blah).

There are a few more isolated individual cases like this, however the big money is generally in large networks that see silly traffic daily.

This is not what I am talking about. I'm talking about a one hit wonder post. In and out like a thief in the night. Blogger vigilante at it's best.
A poke in the eye for all mega-news and uber-cool-websites. A post like this... mmm maybe pushing it.

Ok so How?

Monster traffic can easily be generated immediately to a new site by submitting the right kind of content to various social media platforms. Granted your content needs to be good, spectacularly spectacular to generate taffic!.

I do this on a daily basis, however I have never made any significant sums of money from the millions Gagillions of gad impressions I have served.

I think at most I have ever seen in a day is roughly $80 off a single new post. Short lived, but thank you Digg for putting my post in a highly competitive/lucrative search result. Not a bad result, but whahhhhooooo, $999 999 920 to go.

Bugger!

There could be several likely reasons for the apparent lack of social media Ad clicking interest. However I think the primary motivation is that the target audience on social media networks simply don't care to click ad's. Nor should they feel obliged to click on ad's, if they are not interested in the advertisers product.

So what would insight a legitimate click from the vast hordes of social media visitors, that would in turn be beneficial to both the advisers, the publisher and Google.

This dear visitor is the golden question and key motivation for this post about "making money online".

Somehow, some day, some way, I'm gonna crack it and find the super niche. The ultimate blend of people pleasing, advertiser loving, social engineering, hook of all frigging hooks.

Peace..

Sharing is caring.
